February 2020 // Personal Practice Sessions // 6 Weeks // Intermediate
Sundays 23rd February - 29th March, 10am-12.30pm
Experienced makers can carry out their own handbuilding and throwing projects in these sessions. There is no tuition but a member of studio staff will be available to answer any questions or give technical advice. Participants should have at least completed a 6 week course or have equivant experience.
Each session is 2.5 hours long, allowing for 2 hours making, and half an hour cleaning and packing up.
The course includes 3kg of fired ceramics, any extra will be charged at £4 per kg.
We will email you when your work is ready to collect after a few weeks, and you can come and collect your pots on Sundays between 11am and 2pm. We keep work for 2 months after emailing, after which we have to dispose of the work as we have limited storage space.
***Please bring a towel and an apron for the duration of the course if you are throwing as you will get messy! (We do sell these if you need them, but we do not have any to borrow due to the cleaning this creates for us.)***
Please ensure that you have short nails and long hair tied back for throwing, and any jewellery should be removed from your hands and wrists. False nails should be removed as this will seriously hinder your ability to throw.
Please ensure that you can attend all sessions as we cannot offer space to catch up a session in other classes.
