5-Week Improvers sessions
These 2.5 hour sessions run in 5-week blocks,
Experienced makers can carry out their own hand-building and throwing projects in these sessions. There is no formal tuition but a member of studio staff will be available to consult with, and give technical advice.
Each session is 2.5 hours long, allowing for 2 hours making, and half an hour cleaning and packing up.
These courses do not include a glazing session. Once your work has been bisque fired you can collect it from us and book onto one of our regular scheduled glazing classes.
Participants should have completed a beginners course, before signing up to our improvers sessions.
The course includes a 6kg bag of clay (several types to choose from). Extra clay can be bought from us at £18 per 6kg bag, which includes the cost of glazes and firings.
There is usually a 2-week wait for pots to be fired. Once they are fired we will hold onto them for a further month, after which we will consider them abandoned and discard them
Due to our limited capacity (4 per class) we cant squeeze you in to another session to catch up any missed sessions. If you have to miss 2 consecutive sessions due to self-isolating because of coronavirus, we can offer you store credit to the value of those missed sessions, which you can redeem against a future booking.
