In the event of non-attendance or arriving late to classes it is not possible to provide alternative studio time, or for a class to be rescheduled. Classes are at fixed times to cover the cost of tuition. We run at full capacity so it is not possible to swap classes or use the studio outside of the allotted class times to ‘catch up’.
14 days or more before the start date of a course or session we can provide a full refund (minus a £5 booking fee). Any less than 14 days notice and we cannot provide a refund, or transfer you to another course, or provide credit. Once the course begins there are no refunds.
Scheduled courses and classes are transferable to another person by the attendee before the start date but it is not possible to share a block of classes with another person. Please notify us if you are transferring your booking to another person.
Private classes will be fully refunded if 7 days notice or more is given. Between 24 hours and 7 days notice will incur a fee of £50 (less than 6 participants) or £100 (more than 6 participants) and a £5 admin fee. No refund will be given if less than 24 hours notice is given or in the case of non-attendance.
Clay / glaze / firing costs:
Taster sessions: extra pots made in these sessions can be white-glaze fired at a cost of £3 per small pot, £5 per medium pot, £8 per large pot
6 week courses: addition to class fees materials will be charged at £3 per kg of fired pot (e.g, about £1 for a teacup). Pots should be paid for on collection (cash only).
Private sessions / hires: Unless stated otherwise materials and firing costs are included in the cost of hire. We fire between 2-4 pieces per person which will be ready to collect from the studio approximately 3-4 weeks after the session.
Finished work can be collected on Sundays 11-2pm.
You will receive an email informing you when the work is ready for collection (generally 3 weeks after a one-off session and 2 weeks after the final class on a 4 week course).
From the date of this email you will have 60 days to collect your work. We cannot guarantee that work won’t be damaged in the kiln or not survive a firing.
Any work damaged during the firing process is not the responsibility of 7 Spot Pottery and any work remaining in the studio after the above cut off times will be disposed of as we see fit.
