6 Weeks Personal Practice Sessions // Tuesday Mornings 10am-12.30pm
Tuesday Mornings, 10am-12.30pm
The course content is aimed at beginners, but those with experience are welcome to do carry out their own projects with optional tutor support. Each session is 2.5 hours long, allowing for 2 hours making, and half an hour cleaning and packing up.
On this course, beginners will be given and introduction to basic handbuilding and potters wheel techniques, and glazing. Those who have already taken beginner classes will be offered help and advice by the tutor after the initial class demonstration.
The course includes all materials and firing for up to £15 worth of fired pots (e.g. a coffee cup works out at £2). Any extra work will be charged based on size.
We will email you when your work is ready to collect after a few weeks, and you can come and collect your pots on Sundays between 10am and 4pm. We keep work for 2 months after emailing, after which we have to dispose of the work as we have limited storage space.
***Please bring a towel and an apron for the duration of the course as you will get messy! (We do sell these if you need them, but we do not have any to borrow due to the cleaning this creates for us.)***
Please ensure that you have short nails and long hair tied back for throwing, and any jewellery should be removed from your hands and wrists. False nails should be removed as this will seriously hinder your ability to throw.
Please ensure that you can attend all sessions as we cannot offer space to catch up a session in other classes.
