You will be give a tour of the studio and shown the process that clay goes through, from quarried clay to glazed ceramic. We will then teach you the basics of throwing on the potters wheel, and a hand building technique.
The workshop includes firing and glazing of one of your pots, if you wish to keep more then there will be a charge of £3/5/8 per pot to cover our costs, depending on size. These will be fired and ready for you to collect after a few weeks.
**Please bring a towel and apron to the session**
In the event of non-attendance or arriving late to classes it is not possible to provide alternative studio time, or for a class to be rescheduled.
Please note that all jewellery should be removed from hands and nails should be short in order to throw on the potters wheel. False nails should be removed as this will impair your ability to work with clay significantly.
